Three Crosses

Three Crosses, where will you spend eternity?

FRONT:

And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:32, 39-43)

BACK:

The Cross of Redemption. One died for sin: He was the dying Savior.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but hath everlasting life. (John 3:16) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) Jesus, God’s Son, died with our sin upon Him.

The Cross of Rejection. One man died in sin: He spurned the Savior Who loved him.

This is the cross of many today. He was already condemned (John 3:17-18) and he added unbelief to his sins. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father but by me. (John 14:6)

The Cross of Reception. One man died forgiven: He received the offer of life eternal.

This man placed his faith in the dying Savior. In the morning he was condemned, then found grace and saving faith and shares Heaven with the Savior. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
